This past Sunday our home church, Harbour Shores Church, held a commissioning service for our family. Our Elders prayed for us and officially released us into full time vocational missions ministry. We were truly encouraged by the service and by friends and family that shared the day with us.

As our deputation time is coming to an end we're excited for our next phase of life. In less then a month we'll be living in San Pedro de Marcoris.

10 weeks, 50 days! of a VBS-like program will begin this July in the sugarcane villages. From this program (a chronological study of the Bible, Creation to Christ ) we will seek to build relationships, start discipleship and from there start churches and a school. We still need many hands to join in this ministry, long term and short term. Please contact us for information about planning a missions trip!

The Praise Bee Buzz!

Even if you didn't see the Praise Bee flying around this week, he saw you! He saw all the great music and testimonies. He wants to give Pastor Sue a big jar of honey for being faithful in leading prayer and preparation time! Sister Janice Ames also deserves a jar of honey for the wonderful sloppie joes a couple of weeks ago! He was buzzing around the Fellowship Hall and watched John hook up a new stove! He saw Pastor Ames deliver another great message! More jars of honey for jobs well done! He may catch you next!!!

Indiana Wesleyan Academy held their 15th High School Graduation this past Saturday June 5th with five students graduating. You can see more pictures on our Facebook Fan Page. Church News

Our Indiana South Wesleyan District Superintendent, Dr. Mark S. F. Eckart will be with us in our 5:00PM service, Sunday March 28th, 2010. Dr. Mark will be sharing what is on his heart and giving us an update on what happening in our district.

• Anniversaries-Bill and May Johnson will be celebrating their 51st on March 28th.
• Birthdays-Don Ayscue and Kimberly Jackson on the 26th and Jim Walker, 27th.
• Annual Church Conference- Sunday April 11th, 2010 at 5:00PM.
  

In Memorium

Two of our long time members went home to be with Jesus today. We will miss them greatly, but rejoice knowing they are in the presence of Jesus. Ron Knirs, Sr. served faithfully as board member, Sunday School teacher, song leader, maintenance man, among other duties. Henry Wire served and attended Boonville Wesleyan as long as his health allowed him to do so. His funeral was at Bradley's Tuesday March 9th. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families. Funeral arrangements are pending for Ron at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville. The funeral will be held at Boonville Wesleyan Church on Saturday March 13. There will be a memorial service at the funeral home Friday night at 7:00PM.

Church News

• This past Wednesday the residents and staff of Woodmont Health Campus presented Pastor Ed Ames a check for Boonville Wesleyan Church in the amount of $500.00. This was a token of appreciation for our Wednesday Night Praise & Worship service which is held there. They had been saving for several months.
• Pastor Ames still needs your baby pictures!
• March 13 is the Lady's Encouragers Meeting, hosted by Thersa Bratcher and Robynn Yoder.
  

• March 7th at 5:00PM we will be having our Birthday Bash in the Fellowship Hall. See if you can match everyone up with their baby picture!
  
• Birthdays this month: Assistant Pastor Joe Wriston,Pastor Ed Ames, Chris Burris, Josh Johnson.
• Kathryn and Eugene Heidorn will be celebrating their 52nd Wedding Anniversary on March 15th of this year.
  

Weekly News

Pastor Ed Ames and his grandson Benjamin Yoder sang a special for us today. After the service we enjoyed another fine meal in the Fellowship hall. Evening service was canceled so we could attend the Community Christmas Service at Boonville High Auditorium.(Click here for pictures)

We had another great service at Woodmont Health Center this week. Eugene and Kathryn Heidorn, Gene Powell sang specials as well as our newly formed choir. Church Happenings-Online Bulletin-September 13, 2009

Ron Knirs ,Sr. is currently residing at Warrick Hospital Boonville in Room 231. He will be there the next week or two while he undergoes therapy. Andrew Walker begins classes soon at Trinity College of the Bible in Newburgh Indiana. Andrew is Pursuing a career in the ministry. Andrew is the son of Jim and Teresa Walker.

Another Bake Sale is being planned for Saturday September 26th, 2009. Proceeds will go towards the trip being planned to the Creation Museum in October of this year. Thanks to those who cleaned the church this week. A job well done!

Please keep Shannon Marts Martindale (Shelbyville) in your prayers. She is underging some tests tomorrow for a medical condition. Also remember Chris Ames (Indianapolis) as he undergoes treatment for cancer. For other requests please scroll down on the left hand side of this blog to prayer requests.

Creation Museum Trip Update

As I previously posted the other day, Boonville Wesleyan Church and IWA are planning a trip to the Creation Museum near Cincinatti Ohio on Saturday October 10th, 2009. A charter bus with room for 5o will leave the church at 7:00Am and return at 7:00 the same evening. More details about cost will be given as soon as they are available. The church is having a Bake Sale this Saturday September the 5th at the Boonville Walmart as a fundraiser for the trip.

Special Prayer Requests This Week

We have several special prayer requests at this time. Ron Knirs, Sr. is recovering from surgery at Deaconess Gateway room 303. Eugene Heidorn has been dealing with kidney failure. He is residing at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Pastor Ames son, recently diagnosed with terminal cancer, is residing at an Indianapolis hospital at this time. Please put these names on your prayer and fasting list.To review current prayer list, go to left hand column of this blog. Please contact us if you have a prayer request.

Weekly Spotlight

This weeks focus is on Gary Bratcher, Jr. Gary does a lot of behinds the scenes work at Boonville Wesleyan. He maintains the church website and help me set up our church blog. If you have a computer question, Just ask Gary. We appreciate his wife Theresa and kids and all they do also. Next time you see Gary, give him a pat on the back and tell him how much you appreciate him.
